KalMed Healthcare has received an NSF I-Corps Teams program grant. This grant will be used to further customer discovery of the proposed project. Teams that successfully complete this program are eligible to apply for NSF SBIR grants where teams may receive up to $1.5M in funding over 2.5 years.
The SBIR Phase Zero grant provided from VentureLab at The Georgia Institute of Technology provides $25K in funding to eight companies every year. KalMed Healthcare has been selected to attend the prep day which is the beginning of the 3 phase program. The 3 phases are as follows:
Phase I: Prep Day
Phase II: 7 Week I-Corps Teams program
Phase III: I-Corps Go
CREATE-X, a program at The Georgia Institute of Technology is aimed to provide funding, mentorship and legal assistance to student startup founders. Out of the 300+ applicants, only 48 teams were accepted.
The UGA KickStar Fund aims to provide funding to student entrepreneurs in order to further their innovations.
KalMed Healthcare gets accepted into NSF I-Corps Sites program and receives a $3K grant to further its momentum.
